About

Health Sciences Design is an interdisciplinary program that engages undergraduate, graduate and professional students in problem-solving for human health. The program offers a unique innovation space that includes advanced equipment and expert faculty and staff, giving students an opportunity to develop critical skills and competencies in health sciences design thinking. Along with design thinking, courses allow students to explore ways to improve human health through human-centered and community-based practices, interprofessional collaboration, and the use of emerging research and technology.

Established in 2019, Health Sciences Design is a strategic initiative of the University of Arizona Health Sciences, founded to fulfill Health Sciences’ mission to promote next-generation education that prepares students to build and lead the future of health care.
