Design Space

Health Sciences Design (HSD) is located on the sixth floor of the Health Sciences Innovation Building, a state-of-the-art instructional, research and administrative space for the University of Arizona Health Sciences.

The HSD space features a presentation and study room, an open collaboration area, a makerspace, small-group discussion rooms and faculty offices. Additionally, the collaboration area is equipped with mobile presentation units that use Solstice wireless collaboration software to rapidly connect computers and mobile devices to audio-visual equipment. The HSD suite was planned and constructed with the entire design process in mind, from initial discussions to identify design needs to the creation and testing of prototypes.

As part of the University of Arizona’s land-grant mission, HSD is committed to access and equity in design education and puts design thinking at the heart of community service and health promotion.
